pccrWorkshop: Creative Reuse!

Stop by PPG Wintergarden for the Drap-Art exhibition between noon and 4pm and join Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse for this hands-on, art-making activity with reclaimed materials. People of all ages are invited to create and take home their own assemblage, sculpture, collage, or model inspired by the work of the Drap-Art international artists.

KEEPERS!

KEEPERS by Joan Wagman is a dance trio set within a maze of objects that are typically discarded.  Suitable for all ages, children young and old can choose to participate in this dance adventure, accompanied by a recorded collage of music amplified through a Tuba!
Both performances at 623 Smithfield Street at the Juried Art Exhibit: Friday, September 30 at 7:30, Saturday, October 1 at 4pm.

Film: Food Systems Chapter 4: the System

Join us for this film by David Bernabo and gain an in-depth look at home cooking, hunger, origins of poverty, and solutions to a growing food problem. Starting with the creation of a multi­-course traditional Indian meal, the film examines how food and cooking shape community, family, and personal histories while also opening pathways to improving nutrition and food knowledge. Join us! Artists and organizations may apply to be vendors or sponsors, and the festival welcomes volunteers. Re:NEW Festival programming includes art exhibitions, expos and conventions, markets of artwork and goods made of upcycled materials, workshops, performances, talks and tours, and satellite programs at diverse organizations around the city.
